Pressure Washer Trailer for Business Startup

Lee came to us wanting to start a small pressure-washing business.  He wanted to start work mainly on residentail projects, but wanted to have the power for some industrial and commercial jobs.  Lee didn't want to invest tens of thousands of dollars, but wanted to make sure he bought the best of what is available that would last and be dependable.

His vehicle has a 3500lb towing capacity, so we needed to keep things a little light.  We decided that a Cougar Catamount 200 Cold Water System would be a perfect starting point.  The high ground clearance of the trailer would let him access construction sites, and the 2999 GVWR of the trailer would be towable by his Bronco.

For power, we went with a Landa HDGas Series pressure washer.  We chose the 4gpm @ 4000psi belt drive with electric start for its durability, power, and ease of use.  Out back, we mounted a pair of Hannay Hose Reels.  One is a high-pressure reel made with schedule 80 internals and, 12v electric rewind.  The other hose reel is plumbed to the 200-Gallon capacity water tank and a garden hose.  This will allow for continuous filling and uninterrupted use, keeping the tank full as long as it's connected.

To aid in speed and efficiency, we accessorized with a detergent application system and a 21" surface cleaner.  When the business takes off, we can add a hot water machine or a 2nd cold water down the road.
